Subject: [Growwine] Renting a section of a vineyard?

Excuse me if this list isn't the right place for this...

A group of friends and I are interested in getting our hands dirty in
the vineyard and getting a steady yearly supply of grapes for our own
home (not a business) wine making. We are interested in reserving, for a
fee, a section of an established vineyard somewhere in southern or
central Ontario (within a days drive-and-back of the GTA).

We could handle the picking and dormant pruning (with some initial
training), and would be open to negotiating on other vineyard work
(spraying, etc.) with the owner.

In terms of varieties we'd be looking for one or more red varieties,
vinifera or hybrid (or both).

I imagine we'd be looking at about a quarter acre, or about 500lbs
grapes at a yield of 2 tons/acre. (If my arithmetic is right)

Ryan
