Because they're largely not available. When Marta and I toured the Finger
Lakes, we were told (in more than one winery) that they could sell every
single bottle either at the winery or direct to restaurants in New York City.
Consequently, that's where you have to go to get the wine.
It must be over 10 years since we were there, and I know we drank a bottle
recently. I wonder if there are any left...
