Hi people,
let's cheer instead of whining as usual.
guess who's coming to town this week-end: the latest non-saq outlet for local
wines at the Sherbrooke's Farmers market.
To be featured, as you expect 'round here, Le cep d'Argent, but also 2 new
local wineries, Clos du roc noir from Stanstead and Halte des pelerins, from
the foothills of Beauvoir, across the river from my neighbourhood, both of
which I did not get to taste yet. From my usual rotation of Quebec wines, I
score 2 out of 3 wineries. A total of 10 wineries are supposed to be there.
but not my favorite bubbly nor rosé, so I guess I have a couple phone calls
to make !

The vintners and cidriculteurs artisans will henceforth an outlet to market the station,
inside the store of the cooperative solidarity Gourmet des Cantons.
With a few weeks of the holiday season, you can guess that this will fall particularly
well and strangely pleased to food producers in the region!
"The direction des alcools, des courses et des jeux authorizes such businesses as a
trickle. Sherbrooke is the third largest city in the province after Montreal and Quebec
to hold such a showcase for producers of alcoholic products and we are extremely
pleased, "said Francois Benoit, a founding member of the cooperative.
>From the outset, Mr. Benedict also wished to clarify that the domestic market is still
open even though, on the outside, Christmas trees have replaced vegetables and fruit!
"The Sherbrooke residents are not yet aware that we are open seven days a week,
until 18 pm every evening during the holiday season!" Exclaims the enthusiastic
initiator of this cooperative and one of a thousand flavors well at home.
A showcase that is pleasant
The marketing of alcoholic products remains, as we know, extremely difficult for
winemakers Quebec. The huge challenge however, does not prevent new players
added to the market and spend years to fine tune their products for the greatest
pleasure for gourmets.
Such is the case of Marco Corbin. For nearly a decade, he has developed five
products delicious in the vineyard Stop pilgrim (Halte des Pélerins !!!), located on the
path of Sanctuary (near Beauvoir).
