dilute amounts of copper on the GM's will clear up the downey. I struggled with that for years as it is copper sensitive but at reduced rates it is managable.

  I've got 6.5 foot tall heirloom tomato plants in my garden, and never have to water, so that's a blessing, but I've got mildew all over my grapes and I suspect everything is a few weeks late.  Going to rip out the GM-318 I have, despite being a hybrid, it's seemingly actually more sensitive to downy mildew than the 100% vinifera (Cab Franc) near it.  I've just got my little garden, no room for wimps!

  Maybe the weather will turn and we'll get a nice dry hot August and September.

  Still, from the bigger environmental picture in Ontario, it's hard to complain about record rain levels after last year's drought.
