[Growwine] Climate conditions in NE Prince Edward County

For anybody who knows... looking at a map of current wineries in PEC, they
basically follow the route of the Loyalist Parkway from Hillier in the west
to Picton & Waupoos in the east, without venturing significantly north or
south of that line. Is the reason for this primarily because of tourist
traffic reasons, or are there significant climatic advantages to this area
of the county? Are there any climate or soil-driven reasons why the
Sophiasburgh area north of Picton has no current wineries? I noticed that
the list of PEC growwiners at
http://www.littlefatwino.com/pecounty.htmllists John & Sacha Squair on
Fish Lake Road up there -- are they still on
the list? If so, what has been your experience growing around there?
