Yes,

Powdery mildew prefers hot, dry conditions.  It does not need free  
water for a secondary infection cycle.  High humidity at night is  
ideal PM infection weather.  The germinating spores actually wash off  
leaves in free water.  DM is different, it needs a rain to spread.
