It is the same mistaque as did the french 50 years ago . They let the big pharma cartel push their asset . There is no money to make with vines requiring 2 or 3 spaying a year for them . I think the shift is about to happenned here in Quebec, more and more people realise that with hybrids that fit your climate you can get high yield , high quality and low cost

I agree it will take time an money ,but he seems not to flinch when I told him what cost was involved.I would think he wants to have a head start before he retires. Maurice.

Up and running in two years is unrealistic unless a lot of site, grape variety and financing research is already done or there is a pile of cash. However it is possible. Just do it right and it is easier. We now make far fewer mistakes.

Well what do you know? I know you have been on the bandwagon plus a lot of others who have the same idea.We have had the same stigma here about above the escarpment an along the shore of lake Erie . I met a person at the sportsman show yesterday an he has 100 acs in the Barrie area an he wants to grow grapes an open a cottage winery. He is retiring in two years an he wants to have it up an going before then.Iam going to get him on line with us an where ever to help him make a go of it.He will be retiring from the RCMP an his wife is out of Carilton university..Surprising where you meet people. Maurice.
